Buses to the Southern Black Sea CoastThere are more buses to the Southern Black Sea Coast, although it's still difficult to reach the most scenic areas. Twelve more buses have departed Sofia for the Southern Black Sea Coast since the summer travel season began. They make it easier to get to the most well-known resorts, which are already attracting a lot of tourists, like Sunny Beach, Primorsko, Kiten, and Tsarevo. The lack of adequate transportation, however, continues to impede the growth and accessibility of the most charming and smaller communities at the southernmost tip of the coast for tourists without private vehicles. One of the busiest routes is to the Southern Black Sea Coast. The most frequently requested tickets are for Primorsko, Kiten, and Tsarevo, said Ivan Miroslavov, the Central Bus Station's director. The Northern Black Sea Coast is not served by the extra buses, and the issue of few connections to the southernmost settlements and resorts beyond Tsarevo remains unresolved. Varna and Burgas are served by 32 trains in each ways, according to BDZ. On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, the train is fully occupied. The issues following Burgas, where rail transportation is unavailable, are not resolved by this, though. Tourists who decide to enjoy the solitude and beauty of places like Varvara, Ahtopol, Sinemorets and Rezovo must take into account the extremely limited bus schedule. From the South Bus Station – sector 6, only a few buses depart daily to these destinations: • BURGAS – TSAREVO: • BURGAS – PRIMORSKO (via Yasna Polyana) • BURGAS – SINEMORETZ: • BURGAS – REZOVO The areas around Sinemorets, Varvara, Ahtopol and Rezovo are among the most picturesque places on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. Rocks, bays, pristine beaches and a forest that descends all the way to the sea – this is the area where Strandzha meets the sea. Unique places such as the Veleka estuary, the rocks near Varvara, the beaches of Lipite, Silistar and Kastrich, as well as the last village before the Turkish border – Rezovo, offer a unique atmosphere and silence, different from that of the overcrowded resorts. But the lack of convenient and regular transportation makes access to them a logistical challenge – especially for tourists without a car or for families with children. In these places, nature is even more beautiful, and interest in peaceful vacations is growing.
